A New Start

Life renews itself and makes some extensive changes to restore to freshness and vigor. Some redeeming force frees the human existence from what distresses it. Perhaps a healing energy penetrates the matrix of life to return to a sound state and impart a common rhythm to existence. This is how we get a new start which profoundly moves us each and all. This subtle and new start once evoked me to communicate my feelings in the form of a poem, ‘A New Start’. Here goes the poem.

A New Start

Let’s welcome the new start,

May the New Year favor us !

We sing with a joint eulogy.

Graciously inspire us and give wisdom !

Let the New Year nest on a hope,

The hope to love all creation.

In return bless us all,

Be vigilant to our actions !

We stagger through the corridors of time,

Our own ancient layers lay bare,

Time has created crevices,

Headward erosion has happened,

The irony !

Erosion creates an awesome new river,

Its sparkling water harvests the deserts of our being,

The newborn endows the new coming,

Despite the burning Sun.

The river flows,

We travel with it,

Sometimes into the territory of gold.

We enjoy the flow,

Though at times,

The flow is treacherous,

The lonely way accompanies the camaraderie of partners.

Let’s not pierce evil in any form,

No falsehood be the part of our speech,

Let the eyes see no evil,

Conceive no evil in mind,

And inhale the breath free from evil.

Let the Sun that rises remove the fear of darkness,

Let our sound and the reflected sound be in harmony,

We pray to rise above all evils.

Let the white light of the Sun direct us,

Let our joints be connected by the golden light,

And rise above the greater than great.

Let the morning of New Year rise,

And make us realize,

He is without end,

And so are we.

Our orchestra sings hymns of His praise,

It will be a New Start,

We must have a party,

A New Year Party,

Let’s drink to that.
